Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr. Michael H. Mulvany
M2_Bio.JPGGrowing up, the Mulvany's lived all over the country with a variety of animals (chickens and cats, dogs and duck, rabbits, rodents and reptiles). By the 9th grade, Dr. Mulvany knew he wanted to be a veterinarian and began volunteering at a veterinary clinic in Point Loma. Playing baseball in high school and college gave him another career possibility.

Dr. Mulvany gave up a career in professional baseball when he transferred his junior year from The University of San Diego to the University of California at Davis where he received the following degrees: BS (Animal Science, 1976); MS (Systemic Physiology, 1977); and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (1983). After graduating from veterinary school, the Mulvany family moved to Santa Cruz for a one-year intensive medical and surgical internship at a 17-doctor hospital.

In June 1984, Dr. Mulvany was hired at All Creatures Hospital, Inc. as the hospital's Medical Director and Practice Manager. He has been the sole owner of the hospital since 1997.

Caring for new puppies and kittens of all sizes and breeds in the family are a special favorite of Dr. Mulvany's. He also has two Labrador Retrievers living in his family now, and is extremely knowledgeable about the breed and its specific needs.
